Marythyme & Blackbeard is based on the ramblings of Sam's two sons during the demolition of the Surf City Swingbridge and the building of the modern concrete bridge. It addresses children's interpretation of changes in their environment and the natural coping tools they employ when the going gets confusing.
Sam's book was published by Archway, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, on November 29th, and is full of beautiful illustrations from local artists! Available now!
